Quinoa Upma

Quinoa is one of the most nutritious food,rich in protiens and fiber. It is good to include in regular meal .Quinoa  upma also taste similar to rava umpa. Adding vegetables like carrot to it makes breakfast much more healthier. I have tired it for first time , decided to make it regularly.


Ingredients:
Quinoa -2cups
Water -4cups
Mustard seeds-1tsp
Green chilli -1
Onions -1
Carrot-1(optional)
Chopped ginger-1tsp
Salt -as required
Tomato -1
Curry leaves- 4-5

Method:
Wash and soak quinoa in water for 15-20mins.



In a pan add 2tsp of oil.when oil is heated add mustard  seeds,and curry leaves.
Add ginger and green chilli .then add onions and fry then till they turn translucent.
 

Add carrots and tomatos.At this time in a separate vessel add water and bring it to boil.
When tomatos turn mushy add boiling water to it and add salt.strain quinoa and add To the mixture.
 

Close the lid and let quinoa cook for 10mins  until all the water evaporates.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
