Putnala Podi Recipe

Here is the recipe of most quick , tasty and popular Andhra dish.This is a great savior when you are hungry and have no time to cook.


Chana dal -1 cup
Red chili -2
Garlic cloves -3
Jeera -2 tsp
Dry coconut powder- 1tsp
Salt - as required.


Roast chanaa dal on low flame .
On the same pan roast chili garlic and jeera for few minutes .You can sense nice aroma of the spices.
Remove from pan and let  the mixture cool.

First grind chili,garlic ,jeera and coconut together. Then add roasted chana dal ,salt and grind to a fine powder.That all, enjoy with hot rice , dosas or with idly.

Store it in a good air tight container .Will be good for atleast 2-3months.
