Mysore Bajji / Mysore Bonda

This is my all time favorite breakfast since my childhood. Though unhealthy once in a while you can make this simple and tasty recipe. I have tried it for first time never thought  i would get such a perfect shape and color. One they make on street side bandi's double fry the bondas to get color . Even home made one got the same color and taste without double frying  .


INGREDIENTS
Maida /all purpose flour -1 cup
Baking powder -1 tsp or Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Butter milk -1 glass
Chopped green chills -few
Chopped ginger -few
Chopped coconut pieces -few (optional)
Jeera -1/2tsp
Salt- as required.
Oil -for deep fry

METHOD.


To the flour add pinch of salt and baking soda.
 

Add enough butter milk and mix well to form medium consistency




Add ginger ,green chills ,jeera and coconut pieces 


 

Take a portion of batter and put it into the oil and fry them on medium flame . Don't worry about the shape they will turn round automatically. Remove when they turn brown.Serve hot with coconut chutney.
